Thanks for joining. You haven't met her in person yet, but Boston Cyberarts' office manager is a print maker extrodinaire, who is hoping to get some good discussions here on mixing printmaking with new technologies.
My background in traditional printmaking is limited, but I'm always interested in learning something new. Next week I'll be working on a laser engraver/ router.
I'll keep you posted.

I've George speak well of you and your work. I've also checked out your work on your website, and they are really phenomenal images. I would love to start a conversation with you about technology and printmaking. I think we are at diametrical ends of the spectrum here: your work is very technical and technology oriented/dependent while my working materials tend to be rather traditional (woodcut, stone litho). Though I do have a photolitho project planned for this summer that relies on digitally manipulated images, it isn't the bulk of my work. Plus the photolitho plates will be printed by hand. That's the traditionalist in me.
So I am very interested in talking about the center, where these two extremes meet, where printmaking encompasses both traditional and digital without being either one more than the other.
I would like to start a public forum on this (where all network members can comment) but I think that I would want to start a conversation with you first to get a better handle on the topic for myself. Your insights, references, and experiences would be great to hear about.
Thanks, and I'm sure we'll meet in person one day (though I do think this meeting over the internet is rather appropriate!)

I have an August 15 deadline on turning in Book + Art: Handcrafting Artists' Books to North Light. After that I'm relatively open.
Why don't you plan to come for a studio visit and we'll compare notes.
